ThayerMahan Hosts the Southeastern Connecticut Robotics Club (SECTR)
ThayerMahan hosted local middle school-aged students from the Southeastern Connecticut Robotics Club (SECTR) on 22 October at the Groton, CT facility. The students visited for the third straight year in preparation for their annual robotics competition. Three teams presented their projects and listened to feedback from ThayerMahan experts. Their hard work was rewarded by a pizza lunch provided by the company.
Greg Deveau (Maritime Operations) facilitated the tour and program. Charlie Altemus (R&D), Dan Williams (Software Engineering), Niko Severino (AI Engineering), Salman Hussain (Software Engineering), and Connor Kelly (Safety & Security) provided insight into maritime robotics and perspective into their careers in science and technology.
